Kids Teaching Kids to Save lives
Hawaii Heart Foundation is a Hawaii based 501(c)3 established in 2010 with the mission to improve the cardiac arrest survival rates in Hawaii. As a part of this foundation a program based on teaching lifesaving CPR and AED use in schools has been designed to help turn the sudden cardiac arrest (death) statistics upside down!
Hawaii Heart’s main program is the Superhero Program - “Kids Teaching Kids to Save Lives.” From an early age, children will learn critical skills relating to the chain of survival and to help save a life, which will be reinforced as they progress through school. By the time they graduate, we hope to have created a generation of CPR/AED-savvy students who have the confidence and willingness to save a life. Future heroes in training!
This program is offered to all Hawaii schools, on all the islands. Any school can sign up to have instructors teach their class for free. Community groups can sign up to receive training as well.
