Hawaii Heart Schools Program

The goal of the Hawaii Heart Schools Program is to prepare every school across the State of Hawaii to save the life of a victim of sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) through frequent cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training for staff and students, kindergarten through high school.

Often schools are not prepared for SCAs. Yet, there are about 350,000 sudden cardiac deaths (SCDs) in the United States annually with over 1,000 of these deaths occuring in Hawaii, and about 14,000 of these national deaths happening to children and adolescents under the age of 18.

HHF's goal is that by 2014 every single school across Hawai’i will be well equipped to handle the first few minutes of a SCA or heart attack. CPR/AED training and education is offered to every school statewide. We have developed programs for kindergarten through high school, and include educational sessions for teachers and staff.

Please help us to accomplish our goal by donating today. Our Program Options Page offers different levels of education and resources for the school and recognition for each donor (company/family/team.) We are committed to the Hawaii Heart Schools Program, educating our students across the state, and saving lives from the number one killer in our country.
